My Body for Life Journey

The last 12 weeks I have been on a journey. A Body for Life Journey. For 12weeks I have gotten up at 540am or earlier rubbed the sleepies out of my eyes to get to the gym for strength training or to do my cardio 6 days a week. I started this journey the week before Shawn left. I knew that if I didn't get on some schedule and routine for myself his leaving was going to be so much harder.
So starting the last week of June I have been faithful to this program. I have had to miss a few days due to illness... we have gotten sick too much lately, but for the most part Body for Life has been my way of life for 12 weeks. I have been eating 6 small meals a day. Planning my meals and workouts and having a cheat day once a week. Oh the coveted cheat day. I made myself sick the first 3 cheat days. I had a much harder time sticking to the eating for life portion of Body for Life than the workouts. My biggest struggle was not eating what I call KID FOOD. It is the food that I make for the kids or the food that is on their plates after they are done eating. I know that sounds gross now that I am writing it. But I have gotten so much better. Not perfect but better.
Over the last 12 weeks I have lost 9lbs on a light weigh in day and 6 lbs on a heavy weigh in day. I know I have lost a LOT of inches...but I didn't take measurements at the beginning of this so I am not sure how many inches I have lost. I have gained muscle...check out my guns...but mostly I have changed the way I feel about my body. When I look in the mirror I don't cringe any more and I am proud of the work I have done. But I know there is more work to do. So I am sticking with this. I am doing another Challenge starting the day after we get home from Disney World. I am also sticking with Body for Life for the next 2 weeks until we go to Disney. I am supposed to be off. But since I have days to make up anyway, I figure why not. I want to be able to enjoy my down time at Disney and I know I will if I work hard up until we leave.
So here it goes the dreaded before and the much improved after pictures. I still can't believe I am posting these... (Shawn you know I love you... I know you are waiting to see the progress)
Oh and if anyone is interested in doing a 12 Week Challenge with me...Let me know! I'd love the company!
