We had a great time at Kalei's Princess Birthday Party. The day was so pretty... blue skies, nice breeze and then about 30 minutes before the guest are due to arrive the sky opens up and it POURS!!!! Did I mention we were having a pool party? It rained buckets but thankfully only for about 30 minutes. We also rented the Clubhouse, thankfully. I had nightmares that we would go through the same thing this year as we did last year at Bishops Pumpkin Patch. It was really rainy, COLD and we had no cover. So this year... we had to have cover. The light drizzle that lingered didn't stop the kids from swimming in the pool and having a great time. Kalei loved being the center of attention as everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her. But I think the she delighted most in blowing out her candles..."ALL BY MYSELF!" That's our girl! Kalei really loved all her gift and her friends loved their party favors. But I think all the kids agree that running around the pool table with a balloon in hand was the highlight... that wasn't even a game I planned! We really feel blessed to be surrounded by so many WONDERFUL people while Shawn is away. Everyone there made Kalei's day EXTRA special!
