Reading Party!

Kalei had her reading incetive party at Pre School today. Thankfully she was well enough to go! She has been home all week with a fever. We took her to the Dr yesturday and he said she didnt have an infection so we just hoped the fever was stay at bay so she could enjoy the party and dress up with her friends at school.

The children were encouraged to dress up like a book character. I thought I'd give Kalei a few ideas... that didnt include princesses. I thought she might like to be Pinkalicious...we could paint her all pink and cut out cupcakes and tape them too her belly... or She could be Alice the Fairy... she is really into fairies with Tinkerbell being her favorite movie. But no Kalei had her own idea. We got Alice a bakers outfit for her birthday. They love throwing birthday parties and baking. She remembered we had the Pat-a-Cake book in the car and she put the two together and said She wasnted to eb the Baker. So she was! She looked too cute and she was proud of her idea! Me too!
