Mommy's Night out in D.C.

Yup... you read the title right! I got a night out in Washington D.C. with my best friend, Leah and our tour guide and historian Mike...Leah's hubby. We had a great time. It was the perfect night. Cool, breezy and did I mention we didn't have the kids! Now you all know I love, love, my babies... but D.C. as beautiful as it is was not the best place to take the kids. There was a lot of walking and I wanted to be able experience the monuments. Neither of which I could have done with the girls... so back to my night out... it was AMAZING. D.C. is so clean! We walked so much but saw everything. I think my favorite was the WWII memorial. It was so beautiful with the fountains. We made it to that one right as the sun was sinking behind the horizon. I could have stayed there all night. When we got to Washington Monument we sat down on a marble bench and looked up at the stars and I was over come with pride and thankfulness for our great nation... The only thing that would have made the night better was it Shawn was with me. I missed you babe!
