Our first Camping Experience!

We decided to take our camping from the backyard to the The Winding River Resort in Grand Lake, CO. Thanks to Lindsey's mom, Pink Joy, for the suggestion! It was like being back in time. We rented a Casita...little house... from the base and headed up to Grand Lake after Kalei got out of school last week Friday. The girls were so excited! We all were, really. I hadn't been camping since I was a kid and we had so much fun we are looking into purchasing our own trailer. We took the bikes up and boy am I glad we did, we rode the bikes everywhere! The girls got to go fishing, FINALLY! Kalei has been talking about going fishing for 6 months now which of course got Alice talking about it! Lucky was so thrilled to tag along too. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on any trail in RMNP... bummer, but it was cool enough to leave her in the Casita.

Here are some highlights

Alice the "leader"...she didn't even like hiking til we let her wear Kalei's Camelbak...that didnt go over well with Kgirl... give the girl a camelbak and she is the one setting the pace!


Kalei the girl version of Huckleberry Finn... loves Rock Crawling with daddy!


Adams Falls.... Grand lake, CO South family favorite!


Fishing FINALLY!!!! The girls loved it!!!! Kalei was great at casting her line!


Pipo insisted the girls go Horseback riding.... if you ask them it was the highlight of the trip!


I couldn't resist... happy camping to all!
