So I have taken up a new hobby....making bows!!! It is soooo much more economical for me to make them than to buy them for the girls because they always seem to lose them. I have paid up to $6 for a bow and we don't have it any more...So last week I set out on a mission. Using the ribbon I had from my other hobbies...scrapbooking and card making, I tried it out. I found a tutorial on You Tube, I watched it a million times and then gave it a go! At first I was not getting the pinching in the middle step but after a few needle sticks and some frustration I got it!!! Now my bows don't look as professional as the person's instructing the video but the girls LOVE that I made something for them to wear!!! I am so proud of myself because this hobby requires me to use a needle and thread...and everyone who knows me knows that I cant even sew on a button! So maybe just maybe I got a hint of the sewing genes from my very talented Grandma Whitsel!
